The Coto de Caza Golf & Racquet Club will provide the dramatic backdrop for the Cox Celebrity Golf Championship on Monday, December 4, 2006 with proceeds benefiting Cox Charities for Orange County.

Former Major League Baseball player Jay Johnstone will be pairing each foursome with a celebrity golfer at this daylong event, which also will feature a cocktail reception, dinner, and both silent and live auctions.

The Cox Celebrity Golf Championship will follow a scramble format, using the Callaway scoring system. Prizes will be awarded for the low net scores of the 1st, 2nd and 3rd place teams. Additionally, Cox will host several contests throughout the day, including long drives, closest to the pin, hole-in-one, etc.

With proceeds benefiting Cox Charities, your participation will enable local non-profit organizations to make a positive impact on the lives of youth and families in our local community — providing them with programs and services that improve the quality of their lives.

The private Coto de Caza Golf & Racquet Club is home to two Robert Trent Jones Jr. championship golf courses.  In fact, the North course was named by Golf Digest Magazine as one of the nation’s top 25 golf courses in 1987, and is considered the top-rated golf course in Orange County.
